Hauora Trust Announces the Pukekohe Tamariki Performing Arts Festival
Hauora mō ngā Tāngata Katoa Charitable Trust is proud to announce the inaugural Pukekohe Tamariki Performing Arts Festival - a landmark community event bringing together tamariki from across the Franklin region.
Students from Years 4 to 10, drawn from a range of local schools, will come together at the end of Term 3 to perform Say The Kids: Gen X - an original musical celebrating the spirit of growing up in the 1980s.
The festival is fully funded by Hauora Trust, with drama tutors visiting participating schools weekly throughout the term to work directly with students in preparation for the performances.
The festival will culminate at Pukekohe High School on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 September, where students will take to the stage to share their work with whānau and the wider community.
"Performing arts has an incredible power to build connection, confidence, and a sense of belonging - and that is exactly what Hauora is all about. Bringing this into our services means tamariki can grow and express themselves in a whole new way. We cannot wait to see them shine." - Marama Killen, General Manager, Hauora mō ngā Tāngata Katoa Charitable Trust
We warmly encourage all Franklin families to check with their school to find out whether they are participating.
